The Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist performs/reviews a baseline patient assessment, evaluates patient response to diagnostic or interventional maneuvers and medications during endovascular procedures, provides patient care and drug administration commonly used in the cardiac endovascular laboratory under the direction of a qualified physician. Acts as a first assistant during diagnostic and therapeutic vascular procedures.

Minimum Qualifications for education are a high school diploma or equivalent. Bachelor of Science degree and graduate of accredited school of cardiovascular technology preferred.
Prefer 1-2 years of clinical experience in a diagnostic and interventional lab or special procedures lab. Willing to consider experienced paramedics, respiratory therapists, radiologic technologist, surgical technologist or any other related field for on-the-job-training.
Must have current BLS and ACLS license. Required to have credentialing as Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) that is offered by Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI).
