Summary of a Central Sterilization Technician
Capital Allied Solutions excellent compensation and benefits program awaits the Central Sterilization Technician candidate seeking a 13-Week Travel Contract.
A Central Sterilization Technicians prepare medical equipment for doctors, nurses, dentists, and other healthcare professionals. He/she is tasked with the proper handling, cleaning, assembly, testing and packaging of many kinds of medical instruments.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Updates and implements procedures for determining and maintaining prearranged (PAR) levels of supplies and equipment in designated areas.
- Interfaces directly with staff members at the user departments to determine need of additions or deletions in relation to PAR level systems.
- Maintains adequate amounts of supplies on hand and orders stores stock as needed.
- Insures proper operation of sterilizer units prior to use on a daily basis. Processes and redistributes all instruments, equipment and supplies returned to Central Sterile Supply
- Other Applicable Tasks and Responsibilities.

Requirements:
Requirements for a Central Sterilization Technician:
- Minimum one year experience required.
- CPR Certification
- CRST Certification Preferred.
- Additional requirements may be applicable by assignment.
