Reporting to the Cardiovascular Administrative Director, the Department Director directs, plans, and coordinates the operations of the cardiovascular and EP labs on a 24-hour basis.
The Department Director is expected to achieve department and organizational goals while ensuring optimal outcomes for designated patient populations within the approved operating budget.
This individual will establish productive working relationships with physicians in their areas and promote employee engagement with all associates.
Through effective leadership, the behaviors consistent with system values, effective service delivery, efficient decision making, high levels of customer service, and produce work that is of high quality and cost efficient are demonstrated.
The Department Director has oversight for associates in the following departments:
Cardiovascular BA
Cardiovascular lab
Cardiac Electrophysiology

Job Requirements:
Current Michigan RN Licensure required.
Bachelors degree in nursing required. Masters Degree required or initiated within 1 year with required completion within 7 years. If Bachelors Degree is non-BSN, the Masters Degree must be in Nursing.
A minimum of five years of current clinical experience in a comparable setting for defined department(s).
3-5 years progressive management and leadership experience in a comparable setting for defined departments required.
Demonstrate skills in problem solving; planning and setting priorities, and addressing complex issues for defined departments to achieve expectations.
Able to prioritize and organize work as demands dictate.
Communication and interpersonal skills required; must be able to address customer/staff issues utilizing basic concepts of relationship centered care.
Demonstrate effective written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to anticipate and respond effectively to changes in direction and principles.
