POSITION SUMMARY
-The Laboratory Senior Manager provides operational management for all areas of the laboratory to ensure superior proficiency in test results and analysis, quality control, and quality assurance, and compliance with pertinent regulatory agencies.
-Oversees laboratory information systems and ensures that all functions of the laboratory are consistent with appropriate policies and procedures.
-Assists in planning, directing, monitoring and evaluating laboratory services.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
-Baccalaureate degree (BA or BS) in Medical Technology or clinically related biological science.
-Successful examination and registration as a Medical Technologist with American Society of Clinical Pathologists or equivalent.
-3 -5 years supervisory experience as a Medical Technologist in a clinical hospital laboratory.
-Strong knowledge of automated laboratory systems, as well as Microsoft Office products.
-Must be able to communicate effectively in both oral and written formats.
