A small hospital in Southern Louisiana is need of an experienced Ultrasound Tech with experience in general Ultrasound, OB/GYN, Gallbladder, DVT and should be able to do Vascular and Echo. Volume is approximately 12 to 15 ultrasound studies per day: 4 to 5 echos per day.
The goal of this position is to obtain the best possible ultrasound images for the radiologist and referring physician. This position requires independent use of judgment and responsibility to assure that the highest degree of quality care is maintained at all times. Requires operating and troubleshooting sophisticated equipment. Assists in routine radiology exams as schedule permits.
Equipment used: GE Vivid 7 and the Phillips IU22
Qualifications
Education: Current RDMS certification. Current certification in Vascular Ultrasound or certification eligible.
Experience: Prior ultrasound experience required.
Skills: Must be able to work independently. Requires on-call staffing during scheduled weeknights, weekends and holidays.
