Responsible for organizing, directing, and day to day management of Inpatient and Outpatient Wound Care Program. Provides appropriate education to patient, caregiver, and staff regarding skin care and wound management. Assists staff to maintain current knowledge and competence in the areas of skin and wound care through orientation and regularly scheduled in-service educational programs. Facilitate creation and implementation of pressure ulcer risk-assessment program. Maintains active communication among medical staff, interdepartmental staff, and ensures skin care program progression, and issue resolution. Responsible for providing leadership and direction in accordance with organizational and departmental philosophy and goals. Accountable for coordinating and evaluating care rendered to all age groups. Accountable for smooth daily operational activities. Interviews and selects personnel, prepares performance evaluations. Participates in Quality Improvement activities

Job Requirements:
Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing. BSN preferred. Three years of hospital care and/or home health with in depth knowledge of wounds and current treatment. Leadership skills and application of educational principles preferred. Certification in Wound Care or must obtain in 6 months of hire. Current AHA BLS certification required.

Monday - Friday day shift
